Corporate Transparency Act: Important Update!

Corporate Transparency Act

As many of you may know, a federal court in Texas had issued a nationwide injunction against enforcement of the beneficial ownership information report filing deadline. Late on December 23, 2024, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit granted a stay of that injunction. This means that the filing deadline of January 1, 2025 is still in effect. Community associations and other entities that are required to file beneficial ownership reports should continue filing their beneficial ownership information reports by January 1, 2025.
